How We Plan Your Landscaping Project

Every project starts with a conversation, not a sales pitch. When you reach out, Sam learns about your project and connects you with our project planner to talk through budget before anyone visits. From there, Trey meets you on site to walk the property and talk through ideas. Then you choose the planning path that fits your project:

Full design-build: detailed drawings and renderings for larger projects, with a design fee.
Quick sketch or AI-generated drawing: a faster way to see the concept before you commit.
Property walk and written estimate: for straightforward projects where you already know what you want.

What Happens After You Approve Your Estimate

Once you approve your estimate online, a deposit invoice orders your materials and holds your spot on the schedule. Your crew leader visits the site before work begins, and you receive progress updates throughout the build.

We finish every job with a full cleanup, a final walkthrough with you, and use and care manuals for your new outdoor space. For homeowners who want to spread out the cost, financing is available through HFS Financial.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We hired From the Ground Up for a deck replacement and new patio. They worked really closely with us on what worked with our budget and delivered a beautiful space that I cannot believe is the same footprint we started with. They communicated really well through the entire process and helped us get the project done in a tight timeline giving us options that would speed up the process. This is the second project we have done with them and likely not the last!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were having drainage problems with our lawn around the foundation of our home. Trey and his team did some regrading and rerouted our rain spouts away from the house. They were very professional, friendly, and clear with their plan. They also cleaned up well. We will consider FTGU for future work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used From the Ground Up for a new, larger patio this summer. It's beautiful and now we actually have space to sit at a table and eat on our patio! But my favorite project that he did for us was replacing our porch posts with rough hewn pine posts. It looks amazing! I still pull up to the house each night and love the way it now looks. And we have had several neighbors ask us who did our porch posts!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would highly recommend From the Ground Up. The rebuild our deck to accommodate our new hot tub. Trey was awesome and coordinated with the electrician and Van Dorn Pools and Spas. He listened to what we wanted and made sure that we got the results we wanted.Andy was excellent building the deck and always made sure things were right. Everything was left spotless. Our deck and hot tub are wonderful. We're so pleased that we're going to have them back to do some additional work around the house.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Trey, Josh , and the crew did an outstanding job laying down pavers and building an outdoor kitchen. They also built a foundation and platform for a future brick pizza oven based on plans we gave them.
They were very helpful in helping us design the project. Their recommendations turned out to make the difference in a space we’ll get a lot of use out of.
